Our Puppy Reserving Policy
|
To join our waiting list ... |
We find that many people wish to
place their names on a waiting list with us in order to secure a
Labradoodle Puppy. This works well with us because we are
able to establish a rapport with our new customers right from
the start - before the puppies are born, until the day you
collect your new puppy. We realise that buying a new puppy
can be a daunting prospect and we therefore aim to make your
contact with us as informative and helpful as we can.

In the first instance, on receipt of your first email enquiry or telephone call, we let you know when we anticipate our next litter. We also like to know a little bit about your lifestyle (ie what your family and work commitments are) and if you have done any research into the Breed. We like to be satisfied that you are ready for a new commitment and that you have the necessary space and protection in your garden to accommodate safe play and training a new puppy. The application form links located on the English AND Australian pages are a good place to start, and your first step to suitability. |
|
OR EMAIL US |
On condition that both parties are happy, we will add your contact details to our waiting list and ask for a deposit to show your genuine commitment to us. We email you regularly to let you know how the pregnancy is developing and of course when the great day (or night!) arrives and the puppies are born. Once the puppies are born we let you know what we have and if we are unable to supply the sex or colour of puppy you desire, then we return your deposit straight away. We reserve the right to withdraw a sale if we feel that the applicant is unsuitable in anyway. |

We look forward to hearing from you. |
The new puppies and their Mum are then kept quiet, warm and clean in a specially adapted whelping room within the family home, where their every need is catered for. We email photographs of their development every week for you to see how the litter is progressing and we involve you as much as we can by letting you know when they open their eyes, take their first steps and eat their first solid meal. At 6 weeks old the puppies are socialised, robust and independent and Mum is relaxed enough to cope with visitors. It is at this time that we hold our 'viewing weekend' when we invite our special customers to come and meet us, Mum and her puppies. I am a qualified Microchip Implanter (Petlog) and so our puppies are always microchipped at 6 weeks of age, making them easily identifiable. We encourage you to bring any toys or blankets for your puppy and also take photos/video clips of this special time. |

|
On collection,
from two weeks' later,
we hand over all relevant paper work (including a puppy sales
contract, worming/flea records, 4 weeks free insurance, dietary,
training/ socialisation and exercise advice and historical photographs of
your puppy's growth from birth to leaving home, together with a
full veterinary health check certificate, vaccination record and
microchip forms). Also
included in our comprehensive puppy pack are some helpful diet
products, our own fresh drinking water to help your puppy's tummy
adjust, a new collar and lead and
some puppy treats.
All our puppies are vaccinated at 7 weeks of age and our Australian infused puppies spayed and neutered at 8 weeks of age. Puppies leave us for their new homes at approximately 9-10 weeks of age and sometimes, in special circumstances, we carry out the second and final vaccination for customers if their puppies are still with us at 10 weeks. We also like to initiate basic training commands. We offer advice for as long as you need it and enjoy hearing from you at any stage after you have taken the puppy home. Photographs and your news are received with enormous pleasure. |

Links and Resources
|
We
encourage everyone to research not only the Labradoodle breed
thoroughly before embarking on your journey to find the
right puppy, but also to read up as much as you can about
welcoming any new puppy into your home. When you reserve a puppy from Doodledoos, we send you an e-book about the Labradoodle which covers just about everything you need to know about the breed and how to look after your puppy when you take him home. We give you details notes regarding health, diet, exercise and training on collecting your puppy, but the e-book is something you can read before your puppy joins you at home, so you are more prepared and have confidence. We also send you by email several resources regarding training that are very helpful and informative. Here are some more links to other helpful training resources:
